The Rum Sampling Events – Experiential Benchmarks Report expresses data that represents experiential marketing activations where rum brands were sampled at on-premise (e.g., bars, clubs, etc.) or off-premise (e.g., grocery, liquor store, etc.) events. Rum is a liquor distilled from sugars and is one of the oldest alcoholic spirits. Available in a variety of styles, flavors, and spices, the rum sampling market is one where alcoholic beverage producers have more recently been focused.

The proper use and application of the Rum Sampling Events – Experiential Benchmarks Report will allow stakeholders the ability to establish accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate campaign performance during program execution and completion. An estimated 304,032 rum samples were distributed across 4,443 event activation days combined with 12,447 consumer exit interviews where consumers sampled various rum brands. Specific experiential marketing benchmarks offered through this report include consumer reach, impact, and return-on-investment.

Data from Rum sampling onsite consumer interviews were combined with field staff recap data to form the basis of the insights used in this report. PortMA uses several demographic segments to outline each of the reporting insights, which include reach efficiency, reach quality, brand awareness, marketing impact, and return-on-investment.
