Summary

The global gas processing industry is set to grow by more than 10% over the next four years. Globally the Middle East, Former Soviet Union and Africa lead in terms of significant gas processing capacity additions by 2020. Among companies, National Iranian Oil Company, Saudi Arabian Oil Company and Gazprom will lead globally with capacity additions of more than 15 bcfd. Gazprom is also in the forefront in terms of capex for new planned projects, with over US$10 billion expected to be spent by 2020. The Amur terminal in Russia will have the highest capacity among all planned plants in the world with around 4,500 mmcfd, followed by Prudhoe Bay II in the US with around 3,000 mmcfd.
